I am glad you made a decision to get this guide; Congratulations!!!
I have realized that often times as parents we assume that our values are clear to our children but this is not usually the case. Parents assume these children know what their values are; "I am sure he/she know I don't like that bad behavior”, is simply pure assumption until you put it into action. So, it is not enough to like or hate, our children learn from our examples and will copy us, children need to see these values in action.
The First thing every home must have even before the children join that family unit is a Written Document in form of FAMILY VALUES.
A family Value plan is a document that contains the traditional or cultural values according to a particular family's structure, function, roles, beliefs, attitudes, and ideals.
This Document must have the vision and mission of that family, their value system and this sets guidelines on how the family function, what is acceptable and central in the lives of every member of the home. With guidelines in place, you have a launching pad for open and honest conversations about everything
Your Family value plan should be a working document and reviewed on a regular basis to keep it relevant.
