When I started my parenting journey, I discovered that being able to put my thoughts together as to where I would want to see my children in the next 26 years was overwhelming. The Governor (My husband) and I believe very much in planning. Creating a marriage plan was straightforward, but parenting was a lot more challenging because it involves other people other than ourselves. I searched to see a simple document that could help me put my thoughts in perspective, but I could not find one. So I decided to start from what I wanted to see to where I was, and build to where I was going to. I thought of it like building a mansion and all of the expertise and planning required to be able to achieve that. So visualization became my first point of call because if you want to build a house, you actually will build it twice – the first in your mind, then a physical house.

The biggest mistake we make with our children is that, we forget children need to be taught how to be adults. The deepest longing of any child is to become an adult, but they need someone to lead them there. They want to respond, but they do not know how to, so you need to help them.
